Mr. Edward “Ed” Malone passed away peacefully with family at his side on Monday, October 27, 2008 at Teck Pioneer Residence at the age of 89 years. Ed was predeceased by his parents Mary and Lawrence Malone; spouse Phyllis Malone; son Ronald Malone; sisters Kathleen Teeple and Elizabeth Will and brother Bill Malone. He is survived by his children Donna (Barry) Sheridan, Marjorie (Norm) Malone-Sasseville, Bruce (Lucy) Malone and Judy (Mike) Bessette; grandchildren Gordon, Trevor, Lori-Anne, Carrie-Lynn, Simon, Stacey, Aaron, Derek, Jocelyn and Michelle; 16 great grandchildren and brothers Philip Malone and Rod Ellis. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Monette & French Funeral Home on Thursday, October 30, 2008 from 2:00 to 4:00 & 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. with a Legion Service at 7:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 31, 2008 at Holy Name of Jesus Parish at 10:00 a.m. with Father Wayne Mills officiating. Ed will be laid to rest in the family plot in the Kirkland Lake Cemetery. Donations in Ed’s memory may be made to Teck Pioneer Residence (PO Box 3800 Kirkland Lake, ON. Malone family, So sorry to hear of the passing of your father. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. I had the honor to give a Catholic Womens League merit award to him this year which was presented to two of his daughters.
