Passed away on Thursday, November 8, 2007 at the Kirkland & District Hospital at the age of 84 years. Laurier was born on September 27, 1923 in Manchester, New Hampshire. He married his wife Alphonsine of 62 years on November 12, 1945 in Rouyn, Quebec. Together they lived in Larder Lake from 1946 to 2006 and then moved to Kirkland Lake. He was predeceased by his parents; son Pierre and his sister and brother. Laurier is survived by his wife Alphonsine; sons Roger (Sue) of St. John, New Brunswick, Donald (Lorraine) of Larder Lake, Raymond (Anita) of Yellowknife and Guy of Sudbury and daughter Carmen (Reg) Beaudoin of Kirkland Lake. He will be fondly remembered by his 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Laurier is also survived by his brother Normand (Priscilla) and nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held in the “Teck-Hughes” Chapel of the Monette & French Funeral Home on Monday, November 12, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. Laurier will be laid to rest in the Kirkland Lake Cemetery.Offer Condolence for the family of Laurier Gosselin
