BENOIT, Laurette
Laurette Benoit died peacefully at her daughter's home on April 22, 2014 at the age of 91. She was born in Belle Vallée on April 10, 1923 to Antoine and Hélène (née Matteau) Ethier. Mrs. Benoit was a stay at home mom devoted to her 14 children. She will be remembered by all who knew her for her smile and her warm welcome. She is predeceased by her husband Armand in 1988 and her son Roger in 2006, one son in law Real Lamoureux in 1996 and by two grandchildren in early age Susie Benoit and Marc Benoit, her 2 sisters Irène Lafond and Annette Blain and 4 brothers Hervé, Rodolphe, Henri and Rheal. Mrs. Benoit is survived by her children Jeanne d'Arc (Julien Charland), Aline (Roger Gauthier), Laurianne (Peter Laffin), Jacques (Linda), Pierre (Susan), Gilles (Pauline ), Francois (Delcie), Carmen ( Raymond Brazeau), Yvette (Carson Presseault), Francine (Robert Landriault), Monique (Claude Loranger), Brigitte (Mark McMahon), Germaine (Robert Pepin) daughter in law Solange (Marcel Thibault). Also left behind are her siblings Madelaine Trahan, Marie Claire Chartrand, Ovide Ethier and Maurice Ethier; in laws Rollande Ethier, Lucille Ethier, Marguerite Rivard, Cecile and André Gauthier, Jeannine Rivard, Madeleine Menard, Pauline Boucher, Andre and Lise Benoit. She will be remembered as the best grandma (mémère) by her 30 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at 11 a.m. from the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Fr. Richard Ngoy officiating.
