BLANCHER, Larry
1940 - 2022
In loving memory of Larry Milton Blancher, who passed away September 25th, 2022, at 6:00 A.M. peacefully with his beloved wife Anne Blancher by his side.
Larry was born on August 30th, 1940, in Ingersoll, ON to John and Verna Blancher. Larry and Anne were true soulmates and were married November 17th, 1962. Larry was a very proud husband, father, grandfather, great-grand father, brother, uncle.
Larry enjoyed all things outdoors; he loved beautiful fall flower blooms and country roads. You would find Larry getting up at 3 am preparing for his long day of hauling logs. Larry had a love for equipment, he spent many days on a grader and had a love for farming and anything with an engine. You could always find Larry helping a friend or family member. He was truly a giving and kind father, brother, uncle, grandpa, great-grandpa and friend. Larry is survived by his wife of 59 years, Anne Blancher and his children, Charles (Mary), Kathleen (Kathy), David and Carolyn Blancher. His grandchildren: Rebecca, Hailley & Hayden Blancher; Chloe (Brady) Disney, Nick & Paige Mitchell, great grandchildren Julian & Harrison Blancher, Jack Disney, Lena McGuire, and special Schinkel nieces & nephews Andrew (Candy), William (Chloe), Danielle (Luke) Dennison, Heidi (Steve) Di Marco, Holly & Dennis.
He is also survived by his siblings Lois Bogart, John (Linda), Clare, Floyd (Bonnie), Leona (Ken) DeVries and Murray; and his in laws Brent Webster, John (Jan) Schinkel, Ginny Montminy, Jeff (Gwen) Schinkel. Larry is also survived by many Blancher, Montminy & Schinkel nieces & nephews.
Larry is predeceased by his parents John & Verna Blancher, sisters, Bette, Netta and Valeeta, his brothers Harley (Sadie) and Ron, son-in-law Todd Mitchell, brother-in-law Mike Montminy, his nephew Aaron Montminy.
On behalf of the family, Anne would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the friends, family and community members who have given so much support over this incredibly difficult time. A funeral service will be held Friday, September 30th, 2022, at 11 a.m at the Good Sheppard Church in Englehart. Memorial donations may be made to the Food Bank.
