It is with great sadness that the family of Mr. Lang Chamberlin announces his passing on October 6th, 2014 at his home in Charlton after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Lang is pre-deceased by parents Leslie and Polly Chamberlin and his brother Richard Chamberlin. He is survived by his loving wife Renee, his sister Dawn (and her husband John Hopkins), his son Denis (and wife Jennifer) Chamberlin, his daughter Roxanne (and her husband Pat Rodgers), his nephews Matthew (and wife Che) and Aaron (and his wife Tasha) Chamberlin and his grandchildren Andy, Jessica, Danielle and Roselyn. After graduating from UBC in 1968, Lang moved from BC and began his career as a district biologist with the Ontario Department of Lands and Forests (Ministry of Natural Resources). His career started in Thunder Bay, then onto Timmins and Kirkland Lake before retiring in Tweed, Ontario as District Manager in 1996. He always felt fortunate to work for the MNR and actually get paid for doing what he loved. The following year at the age of 52, after retiring from the MNR, he moved to Fort Erie and was part of the opening team of Casino Niagara. He worked as a security officer and supervisor and retired from the Casino in 2005. He called this occupation his fun job. Lang enjoyed the outdoors and was always active hunting, fishing, golfing, camping, skiing and motorcycling to name a few. His love of nature and wildlife was passed on to his wife and children. Traveling was also a big part of his life, especially to their winter home in Florida. Lang was a family man and over the years he taught his family how to be strong, courageous, kind, responsible, patient, to love the outdoors, and to laugh. Most of all he has taught us love (Lang, dad, grandpa, and friend) you will forever be in our hearts. In accordance to his wishes, there will be no service at this time with a private memorial service being held at a later date. Donations in memory of Lang can be made to the Biker`s Reunion in New Liskeard.
