PETERS, Kathleen ` Kathy `
It is with sadness in our hearts that we announce that another angel received her wings. Kathleen Peters, loving wife of Robert Peters passed away on Jan. 14, 2020 at the age of 78. Known to most as Kathy, her and Bob (Robert) were married for 57 years and raised 3 children together, oldest Shelley St.Onge (Shawn Stevenson), Charlene James (Louis) and Bruce Peters (Leanne) and she was very proud of her 3 grandchildren, Jonathon St.Onge, Christian & Mackenzie Peters. Kathy was the middle child born from Clifford & Annie Briggs & her step-mom Florence. She is predeceased by her brother Jack Briggs & sister Cora Cowling. Also left to mourn are her brothers Gerald (Lenore) and Harold Briggs. Kathy always greeted you with a smile that could light up a room. She was always the type to put her family first whether that be cooking a huge feast at the family farm or making sure that no bellies were empty on her yearly camping adventures. She had a warm heart and was always there to listen. She spent many a winter at arenas cheering on her favorite hockey player, Bruce, usually one of the loudest fans. She was always a helping hand, cleaning apartments, doing dishes or laundry for her children who had left the nest. Kathy made friends easily & always enjoyed her morning outings at the local coffee shop after she saw Bob off to work in the wee hours of the morning. She was even known to let her underage child drive without Bob knowing…shhh…it’s a secret. Kathy also loved when summer would arrive, her & Bob would attend numerous Bluegrass Festivals. She was always happiest surrounded by friends & family. As she entered her golden years, she could be found enjoying some of her favourite TV shows and spending quality time with her life long love by her side. In keeping with Kathy’s wishes there will be no service at this time. A ‘Celebration of Life’ will take place at a later date. In Kathy’s memory contributions can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
