Cote, Juliette (Dec 29, 1932- July 15, 2023)
It is with great sadness that the family announces the death of Juliette Cote (Née Depatie) at the Temiskaming Hospital on July 15, 2023 at the age of 90.
She is predeceased by her late husband Paul Cote and survived by her loving children: Josette (Henri Lafond), Alain (Linda Dunn) of New Liskeard, Jean Roch (Nancy Brunette) of Chelmsford and Darcy (Trisha Morrison) of Virgina Town. Proud grandmother of three grandchildren Ryan Cote (Rachel Charlebois), Jennifer Cote (Christopher Moore) and Stacy Utas (Kevin) and five step grandchildren: Chris Cloutier, Jeff Miller (Jali Dallaire), Anthony Pronovost, Savanah Pronovost, Damian Pronovost. Also loved by nine great grandchildren: Eli, Brent, Ethan, Brooklyn, Jada, Gavin, Kyra, Lila and Tyler as well as five great step grandchildren: Merick, Clara, Rafael, Amiley and Eva. Dear sister of Murielle Depatie, also survived by many sister and bother in-laws. Predeceased by her siblings Yvette Lauren (late Earnest), Carmelle Dugas (late Leon), Florent Depatie (late Eileen), Marcel Depatie (Lola), Renald Depatie (Grabrielle), Yvon Depatie (late Ghislaine) and many nieces and nephews.
Juliette was born and raised in Timmins Ontario, but eventually followed her husband’s transfer to New Liskeard with Ontario Hydro.
She was a devoted elementary school teacher for 35 years, mainly at Ecole St.Michelle. At one time, she was a member of the New Liskeard and Dymond volunteer Fireman’s Ladies Auxiliary. She was active on different committees at the Sacred Heart Church. After retirement she kept busy delivering Meals on Wheels and driving seniors to their appointments or grocery stores. Juliette also spent many hours teaching adults at Le Centre des Mots. She had energy left in the evening to also teach French courses (French as a second language to community adult professionals) at ESSM.
Cremation has taken place, in lieu of flowers a donation to Heart & Stroke Foundation or a donation of your choice would be appreciated.
A private family gathering to celebrate her life will take place in the near future.
