Judy King,

JUDY KING,

2021

It is with deep sadness that the family of the late Judy Lynn King announces her passing on Friday, April 17, 2009 at the Kirkland & District Hospital. Judy was a very special daughter, sister, aunt and great aunt. Judy faced many challenges during her life which she met with strength and determination and never a whimper of complaint. She was our Peaceful Warrior. Judy was predeceased by her father Alfred King (1979) and mother Phyllis King (2004). Judy is survived by her best friend of 34 years, Susan MacMillan and her extended MacMillan family: Basil, Cathy Joe and Doug; her sister Susan Young (Norm); niece Kerri Bailey; nephews Derek Bailey (Rachel), Dan Bailey (Julie); Susan Young (CJ); great-nieces Julia Bailey, Rebecca Bailey, great-nephews Luke Bailey and Hayden Johns. Also left to mourn is Lillian Lawrence (aunt) and her first cousins Stan Milbury, Walter Milbury, Ruby McPhee (Don), Barbara Mazzocato (Romeo), Wayne Lawrence, Bev Lumb (Paul), Cindy Vivier (Jess), Lyndon Lawrence (Beverly), Gary Goodman (Sally), Paul Goodman (Adrianne). She is also remembered by many second cousins and the Simmons family. Her dog Lilly and cat Mysty will miss her very much. Judy worked for many years with Community Living Skills program in Kirkland Lake. To know Judy was to love her; she loved people and kept in touch with all of her family and friends. The telephone was her best friend. Our families will be forever grateful to Judy for the countless hours of research and dedication in compiling and completing our family tree. All of us will treasure this special gift forever. According to Judy’s wishes cremation has taken place and a celebration service will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Encore Club of Kirkland Lake. Donations in Judy’s memory may be made to the Kirkland & District Hospital (P.O. Box 3000 Kirkland Lake, ON. P2N 3P4) or St. Peter’s on the Rock Anglican Church (P.O. Box 692 Kirkland Lake, ON. P2N 3K1) and would be gratefully accepted.Offer Condolence for the family of Judy King

Lots of old memories of Judy. She was always lending us stuff and giving away her things for us. We will miss her stories and funny jokes and the times we had together at KLCVI

Dear Sue, I’m so sorry to hear of Judy’s passing. I remember the days when we all worked together with the Brownie pack and all the fun we had. They will always be cherished memories and I’m sure you have many, many more. Thinking of you. Kelly Davis
