Judith Ann Evans,

JUDITH ANN EVANS,

2021

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Judy, surrounded by her family at the Kirkland and District Hospital on Saturday September 01, 2018, at the age of 77 years. Judy is predeceased by her parents, Cyril Spence (1975) and Beatrice Gowanlock Spence (1961). Her step mother Kathleen Bagget Spence (2003). Judy was born on January 16th, 1941 in Stratford, Ontario. One of Judy’s favourite places to be was her cottage in Elk Lake that she and her husband Maynard later turned into their home for many years and eventually returning to Kirkland Lake. Judy lost her fight to cancer and dementia and for all that knew her, knew how hard she fought while still keeping her feisty personality and always a smile on her face. Judy will be forever missed by her husband Maynard of 57 years. Also forever missed by her children; Leigh Fraser (Brian) of Kenogami, Kathy Evans (Steve Fry) of King Kirkland, Glen Evans (Terry-Lee) of Dane, and her caring daughter-in-law Denise of Kirkland Lake. Her only sibling, James Spence (Carolynne) of Orillia. Judy’s pride and joy, her grandchildren; B.J. Fraser (Marie-Lyne) of Kenogami, Dana Fraser (Charles) of Hearst, Christina Evans, Mackenzie Evans, Taylor Evans of Kirkland Lake, Krysta (Kevin) of Ottawa and Corey (Kelsey) of Kirkland Lake. Judy’s precious gems, her great grandchildren that always put the biggest smile on her face; Kaydence, Dominic, Joanie Caouette of Hearst, Evelyne and Baby Fraser of Kenogami. Her sister-in-law Velma Fox of King Kirkland, brother-in-law Alton (Vivian) Evans of Sudbury, and her sister-in-law Dorothy (Gordon) Webber of Kirkland Lake. As per Judy’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family graveside service will be at a later date. Our sincere thanks goes out to Dr. Kurki, Janice Chamaillard, Dr. Noble, Dr. Lang, Donna Young, C.C.A.C, Closing the Gap, Debra Burtschenko, Nora Barker, Pat Skalecki and the 4th floor nurses that made her as comfortable as possible until the end of her journey. We thank each and everyone of you from the bottom of our hearts. Love you forever and always! Donations:

Maynard, Leigh, Kathy, Glen & families Many years ago, Judy flew behind King Kirkland on her ski-doo with a special group of friends, At Long Point Judy flew again both on skidoo and four wheeler, Judy flew and excelled beside Maynard in their renovations and life’s achievements, Judy flew about her home to keep you in laughter and enjoyment, Judy you have more than earned your wings, Judy fly once more among the Angels, I am deeply saddened and may the children watch over you Maynard.
