ROBINSON McEWEN, Joyce Patricia. (née Gardiner) – Joyce was saved as a teenager, she believed Jesus shed his blood on the cross for our sins. “Joyce Rejoice”. Joyce passed away at Teck-Pioneer Residence on Friday, July 11, 2014. Born to the late John and Lillie Gardiner on January 10, 1930. Joyce worked at the Ontario North Eastern library. She was intelligent, strong and independent woman. Joyce is remembered by her husband of 25 years Emery Earl McEwen; her children Steven Robinson, Kathie Robinson both of Kirkland Lake and Jennifer (Perry) Altenbeck of Windsor; her grandchildren Steven Robinson of Listowel, Justin and Derek Altenbeck of Windsor; her daughter in law Lucille Robinson and her sister Beatrice Mattewson of Kanata; her step children Dianne (Jeff), Janet (André), Robert (Michele), Beverly and their families. Joyce was predeceased by her brothers Francis “Frank”, George Gardiner and her sister Vivian – Bonnie Scott. The family will welcome friends at the FRENCH FAMILY FUNERAL HOME (111 Burnside Drive, Kirkland Lake, ON P2N 3L1) on Monday, July 14, 2014 from 2:00 to 4:00 & 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. from the Chapel of TECK PIONEER RESIDENCE (145 A Government Road East, Kirkland Lake, ON P2N 3P4). Interment will follow at the Kirkland Lake Cemetery. The charity of Joyce’s choice was the M.S. Society (250 Dundas Street West, Suite 500, Toronto, ON M5T 2Z5).
