Joyce Mangotich (née McGinn) of Kirkland Lake, passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family, on Monday, November 28th, 2022, in her 90th year.
Beloved wife of the late George Mangotich
Loving mother of Kathy King (Chris Beatty), Tina (Greg) Woollings, Ivan (Karen) Mangotich, and Jo (Steve)McFarlan.
Sadly missed by her grandchildren Chris, Emily, Sam, Curtis, Jacob, Brad, Laura, Korrine, Anna, David, Scott and great grandchildren Christian, Vince, Shaynie, Jones, and Mack.
Also survived by her sisters-in-law Aline Mangotich, Ethel Mangotic, Annie Martel, Margaret McGinn, brother-in-law Max (Anita) Mangotich; and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents, Andy and Beulah McGinn, brother Gordon McGinn, sister Noreen Hill and in-laws Carlo Mangotich, Paul (Doris) and John Mangotic.
Joyce's focus was always family and friends. She enjoyed cooking and baking for the numerous people she always welcomed into her home over the years. Joyce always looked forward to a fun game of bridge and loved a good laugh.
Special thanks to the Dialysis Unit staff, the Timiskaming Home Support staff, and all those involved with Joyce's peaceful passing.
An open house will occur on Tuesday, November 29th, 2022 from 3 to 8 pm at Joyce's home, 78 1st Street, Kirkland Lake
A family celebration of Joyce's life will be held later.

I'm so glad you could all be there for your Mom's final moments. It has been a pleasure knowing Joyce all these years since Kathy and my first date when Joyce was in North Bay babysitting Chris and Emily.
A good cook indeed. I often had the pleasure of eating at your Mom’s table. She was always upbeat and angling for a laugh. All those parties in the basement, all the swim meets, all that love. Thank you Joyce.

We always considered ourselves very blessed and lucky to have George and Joyce as next door neighbors. So it's with a heavy heart knowing that Joyce has passed that we send our condolences to the whole family.
Knowing how close you all are there's no doubt you'll find strength in each other during this difficult time. I know George and Joyce are happily reunited and our family will send prayers for them, the kids, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. You have all lost a Mom and grandmother, us a great neighbor and my mom a dear friend who'll she'll miss terribly.

She had great sense of humour, wonderful laugh and a beautiful smile. I have known Joyce since I was 11. I have many fond memories. Her cooking was amazing, chocolate mayonnaise cake, potato salad, cabbage rolls and so much more. I also cherish that my Mom and your Mom were friends. Treasure your many memories. Roy and I will remember her!❤️

Such sad news. Joyce was a visual on our street for what seems like forever. Always willing to stop and chat for a moment and welcomed me in her home for years when your dad was alive and I was canvassing for the Heart And Stroke fund. Please accept our condolences.
