It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jody on November 1, 2020, at the Kirkland & District Hospital.Jody will forever be loved and missed deeply by his wife Lou (née Calvert) Dufresne and his daughter Alexis Dufresne who he cherished immensely. He will be remembered by his many siblings, nieces, and nephews.Jody had a passion for the outdoors and a love for music. He was known for Saturday Night Rocks in the garage with his friends. While Jody had many passions, one he truly felt proud of was his 20-year career as a Miner with Alamos Gold. He loved the friendships and camaraderie between his fellow mining colleagues.  Thank you, to all who made Jody’s days as a miner that much better. As Jody would say……. “ROCK ON!”Donations in memory of Jody may be directed to the Northern Cancer Foundation (41 Ramsay Lake Rd., Sudbury, ON – P3E 5J1)In keeping with Jody’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Offer Condolence for the family of Jody Dufresne

I grew up on Portage Bay Road and was friends with Jody and his siblings. We had a lot of fun times as kids and later as young adults. Last time I saw him he was married and had a young son. I didnt realize he had a second family. My condolences to his mom siblings and his son. Rest In Peace until we meet again.

Im in utter disbelief, working with Jody at Klgold (5300) re-routing electric cables by drilling longhole services was always a treat. He will be sadly missed and all the times in Denniss garage on Hudson Bay.
