This is more of a small picture of Jeannie than a story. Jeannie was a very family oriented person. To see her and Wayne together was something rare. The way they interacted with each other showed me a love not often seen. The way they would tease each other which would be comical to sit and watch. Wayne often referred to Jeannie as his French Canadian Girl the only girl for me. Jeannie loved the cottage life. Having big Wayne there with her children and grandchildren made her complete. I think she even enjoyed having us Outlaws there. LOL. When Jeannie found out Shelly and I were going to have a baby she wanted to be called Ma Mere. Thats what she was called until Kayley could talk. Then it became Me Mere. People would correct Kayley but Jeannie would correct them. My name is Me Mere not Ma Mere. All of her grandchildren call her Me Mere. Me Mere will be in our hearts forever. I love Jeannie and will miss you very much. I will take care of Wayne and your Family like you took care of me.But I am not washing Wayne’s underwear! LOL

Throughout my life I have met with different people who have changed my perspective of life. 30 years ago I met my best friend who introduced me to a wonderful, special lady, her mother. Mrs. Perrier and her loving husband Wayne taught and showed me that love, family and of course laughter were their number one priority in their home. Over the years I became quite close to their family and considered them my own. My funniest memory of Mrs. Perrier was when Debbie and I were going to have our first cigarette in front of her parents (well we went outside and sat on their front steps) and Mrs. Perrier come to look for us, I remember her seeing us and yelling to Debbie’s dad “Wayne those girls are smoking, I can’t believe it” Mrs. Perrier wasn’t just my best friends mom, she was my friend too. I would come knocking for Debbie and she would invite me in even when nobody was home. She would put a pot of coffee on, we would sit, smoke, watch soap opera’s, I would watch her knit and have good conversation. The past years life took us all in different directions but when I would bump into Mrs. Perrier I would feel that same special bond I had with her throughout the years. I will always be thankful to Jeannie and Wayne as they brought me in when I needed them most in my life and made me feel safe and special. I will miss her terribly and will forever remember her as a very special lady. “Distance never seperates two hearts that really care, for our memories span the miles and in seconds we are there. But whenever I start feeling sad because I miss you I remind myself how lucky I am to have someone so special to miss.”
