Jean Lynch passed away peacefully on November 14, 2015 with her good friend Tisha Lacarte by her side. She was 83. Jean resided at Extendicare Nursing Home in Kirkland Lake. Jean was born on February 4, 1932 and was raised in Orangeville. Jean moved to and worked in Hamilton. She later moved to Timmins and then to Kirkland Lake. Her move to New Liskeard was as a result of getting a job as head cashier at the new Dominion store opening in the newly constructed Temiskaming Square. When A&P took over Dominion, Jean remained on as head cashier. After retirement, Jean spent many happy hours volunteering at the Temiskaming Hospital. Jean's happy outgoing personality meant she made many friends. Jean had boundless energy and put her heart into all her endeavors. Jean's last few years were her hardest journey as she battled the ravages of Alzheimer's disease but she retained her charm and grace and her easy welcoming smile throughout the destruction caused by the disease. Jean was predeceased by her parents Bette and Fred Bulley and her brothers Bill and Al. She is survived by two children she gave up for adoption as babies and their families, her sister Colleen (Ron Richardson), her sister's-in-law Carm Bulley and Diana Scott, her nieces Kim and Loree and her nephews Reagan, Mike, Pat, and Jeff. Jean is also survived by her good friends Tisha and Dale Lacarte. Although you are no longer physically with us your spirit will always warm our hearts. Rest in Peace Jean. Jean has been cremated and will be buried with her parents and brother Bill in St.John's Cemetery near Caledon,Ontario. Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's society or charity of choice. Caught in the breathless trap of time Memories snagged and muddied in the fog of your illness Despite this your courage, strength and spirit stubbornly shone through Holding hands with you We wondered when your release would come Never being able to truly share your pain, your frustration Never being able to lead you out of the imprisoned world you were in Never truly being there for you It seemed we had lost you many times over As you slowly slipped away from all you once knew -author unknown
