Williams, Margaret Jane (nee Tinney, previously Elliott) In loving memory of Jane Williams who passed away at the Northview Nursing Home in Englehart, Ontario on December 24, 2016 at the age of 90. Predeceased by her parents Thomas and Margaret Tinney, her brothers Tom, John and William and her sister Ethel Lacarte, her first husband and father of her children Mervin Elliott, her grandson Stacy Elliott and her second husband Clair Williams. Jane is survived by all her loving children James (Kathy), Daniel (Lou), Blake (Sue), Amber, Joyce (Mitch Close), Mark (Sharon), Ross (Julia), 11 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Jane was a teacher for 3 years in a one-room school in Armstrong Twp. Then she married Mervin Elliott and raised their family, settling in Kerns Twp. She was a full time homemaker and hobby farmer. At age 49 she decided to return to school to become a RNA. She then nursed at Northland Lodge (now Northview Nursing Home) until her retirement. Jane lost her first husband Mervin in 1980 suddenly to a heart attack. She remarried in 1982 to Clair Williams and she moved to Kenabeek, where they farmed together for many years. Jane had many friends and good times over the years. Jane loved nature and animals of all kinds. She passed that on to her children and taught them to always respect and admire the simple things around them. She enjoyed writing poetry, many of her poems had been published in the Speaker over the years. She loved to play scrabble, enjoyed the challenge of a good crossword and loved to read books of all kinds. She always had a sparkle in her eye and a ready smile. In keeping with Jane`s wishes, there will be no visitation or service at this time. There will be a interment of the ashes in the spring.
