SKAWINSKI, JADWIGA (JEAN) – – It is with deep sorrow and sadness that the family announces the passing of their much loved wife, mother and grandmother on Sunday, May 27, 2007 at the Kirkland & District Hospital in her 78th year. Devoted wife of Boleslaw (Bill) who together celebrated 58 years of marriage. Proud and caring mother of her five children – Stanley Skawinski, Helen Skawinski, Mary Tumbach, Stella Williams & Mark and Susan Hager & Michael. Fondly remembered by her eight grandchildren – Melanie, Rheana, Julianne, Miranda, Dustin, Macpherson, Hope and Jessica. Sadly missed by her brother Edward Myszka & Stephanie as well as by numerous nieces and nephews in Australia. Predeceased by her parents Antoni & Jozefa Myszka and by 5 siblings – Kazimierz, Jozef, Jan, Rodzina and Kanadzie. Jean loved to play Bingo and Rummy 500. She loved nature, flowers, singing and spending time with her cherished grandchildren. Visitation will be held at the MONETTE & FRENCH FUNERAL HOME (450 Government Road West, Kirkland Lake, 567-3565) on Thursday, May 31, 2007 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm & 6:00 – 8:00 pm. A celebration of Jean’s life will be held in the “Teck-Hughes” Chapel of the Funeral Home on Friday, June 1, 2007 at 10:30 am with Father Wayne Mills officiating. Jean will be laid to rest at the Kirkland Lake Cemetery following the service. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundation (P.O. Box 1122, Kirkland Lake P2N 3M7) or the Timiskiming Diabetes Program at the Kirkland & District Hospital (145 Government Road East, P.O. Box 3000, Kirkland Lake P2N 3P4) and would be greatly appreciated by the family.Offer Condolence for the family of Jadwiga Skawinski
