Jack Royden Scott 1931 - 2011 Passed away peacefully at Temiskaming Hospital on January 27th 2011 surrounded by his family after a brief illness. Jack was predeceased by his wife Dorothy, his parents and his sister. He is survived by brothers Bill (Joyce), Bob (Lucie) (best friend Annette) and Murray (Barb). He is survived by his special companion Charlotte Smith, loving father of Garry (Jan), Michael (Sheila), Geoff (Tammy), Susan (Bob). Cherished grandfather of 8 grandchildren: Trevor (Ashley), Randy (Priscillia), Sean (Maureen), Mandy (Tim), Carla (Mike), Tyler (Hailey) , Ian and Nicholas and great grandfather to Ethan, Preston, Evelyn, Nolan, Brady, Jada and soon to be blessed with one more. He will be sadly missed by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. During his lifetime Jack wore many hats. He started out as a hardware salesman, attended Police College, joined the New Liskeard police force and later served as an OPP officer. Being a "Jack" of all trades he then became an Entrepreneur. Many knew him as owner of the Husky Truck Stop and from there decided a home business suited him best and opened the Double "S" Saw Sharpening and Rentals. A special part of his life was spending time at the cottage with family and friends. He had a great sense of humour and loved playing tricks on his grandchildren, campfire games, twerp hunts, socializing with his many friends, boating, fishing, travelling and exploring new roads. If anyone asked Jack what he loved or wanted the most his reply was always: "Just having all the family here is the best gift I could have." The family and friends of the late Jack Scott are welcome to an informal celebration of his life on Saturday, January 29th afternoon from 1pm and Sunday January 30th afternoon from 1pm at Jacks home on Highway 65 West.
