With a heavy heart we announce the peaceful passing of Jack Kincaid at the age of 89 years, on Friday, December 25th, 2020 at the Temiskaming Hospital. Jack was born May 1, 1931 at Kincardine, Ontario to the late James and Barbara Kincaid. He was predeceased by his wife Jacqueline (Arnold) and his brother Thomas Kincaid. As a young man, Jack moved to northern Ontario in 1952 to begin his career with the Ontario Provincial Police. After a short time with the O.P.P. he left to join the Northern Telephone team which would ultimately become the career he would follow until his retirement. For many years, he was heavily involved with the Agricultural Society and was an avid New Liskeard Cubs Hockey supporter and past executive member. Jack is survived by his sisters Nina (Carl) Wagner of St. Catherines, Ontario, Liz Lawson of London, Ontario, sister in law Joan (Clair) Shepherdson of New Liskeard, Ontario as well as many nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his “northern family”, Janice and Dan Dawson, Tammy and Luc Johnson and Tim and Billie Richer. He will be remembered with love as ‘Poppa Jack’ by Teagan and Brady Richer. We would like to thank Dr. Logan for his compassion, care and support over the years and also the nursing staff at the Temiskaming Hospital for their care and support for Jack while in their care. In keeping with Jack’s wishes, cremation will take place with no service. Memorial donations in Jack’s name may be made to a charity of your choice.
