YOUNG, Ivan

In Loving memory of Mr. Ivan Young, who passed away at the Temiskaming Lodge Thursday, May 28, 2015 at the age of 88 years. Mr. Young is predeceased by his first wife Doreen Kenny, his son John Young and his sisters Jeannette Dekker and Yvonne Needham. He is survived by his loving wife Phyllis Laroque, his children; Wendy (Rodwood), Jimmy, Larry (Louise), Kathy (Claude Denomme), Robert, Nancy (Guy Renaud), step-son Robert Laroque as well as thirteen grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, four step great-grandchildren and his brother and sisters; Robert Young (Faye), Margaret Waugh, Ellan Richier (Dee), Karen Holmen (Harry) and Kate McDougall. Ivan was a farm boy raised in Dymond Township. He had a great love for music, playing and making instruments, he played for Le Grand Gam as well as the Forever Young Band. He also enjoyed curling, golfing, fishing and horseshoes. The family of the late Mr. Young will receive friends at the Perrin Funeral Chapel on Sunday, May 31, 2015 from 2 until 4 p.m. A Service will be held at the Hillview Pioneer Memorial United Church on Monday, June 1, 2015 at 1:30pm. Donations to the Alzheimer Society would be greatly appreciated.
