Born in Timmins, on April 15, 1931 to Samuel and Nellie Morgan. Iris graduated from Ryerson Institution of Technology in Horology on May 8, 1953. She was a watchmaker untill her marriage to William (Bill) Lancaster in Timmins, on June 3,1961 when she became a homemaker. Iris moved to New Liskeard in 1963. She was an active member of the Anglican Church and later of The Salvation Army. Survived by her daughters Janice Lancaster and Cyndie Reid of Temiskaming Shores and Melanie Dupuis of Ottawa, granddaughters Becca Reid and Rhiannon Trevethan and great grandson, Bryn Trevethan, brother Kenneth Morgan (Elfleda) of Toronto, sister-in-law Janice Lancaster of North Bay and several nieces and nephews and their families. Predeceased by her parents, her husband, brother-in-law Jonathan Lancaster, nephew David Morgan and great nephew Kevin Morgan. She loved artwork, particularly calligraphy and painting both miniatures and larger canvases of landscapes and flowers. She liked to paint small wooden boxes and was well known for decorating wedding cakes. She enjoyed modelling marzipan, especially fruit shapes at Christmas time, her very favourite time of year. She also enjoyed making homemade hot cross buns at Easter and sharing them with her friends and neighbours. In her earlier years she enjoyed gardening. In her later years, she had fun creating pictures from pressed flowers. She also spent time crocheting, mostly baby blankets and she had fun playing games on her iPad. She had a wonderful sense of humour. She was well loved and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. If desired, donations to the Temiskaming Hospital Foundation or the Charity of your choice, will be gratefully acknowledged.
