BESWITHERICK, Helen

Helen Beswitherick On December 3, 2008, New Liskeard resident Helen Beswitherick died at the Temiskaming Hospital. She was born October 5, 1915, in Ingram Township to Gordon and Nellie Knight. Mrs. Beswitherick was one of the original residents of 105 Market Street in New Liskeard and she was a survivor of the Great Fire of 1922. She was also a member of First Baptist Church. Mrs. Beswitherick was predeceased by her husband Johnston in New Liskeard on January 12, 1964; by her daughter Kathleen Margaret in 1940; and by four brothers and one sister. She is survived by her family members Jean (Jack deceased) Smith of Waterdown, Doreen (Harold) Rhodes of New Liskeard, Anne (Gord) McKnight of North Bay, Doris (Tom) Steele of Sudbury, Ken (Jeanine) of Sudbury; and 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. The funeral was arranged by Perrin Funeral Chapel in New Liskeard. A time of remembrance was held by the family on December 6. Cremation has taken place with burial to follow in the spring.
