DITTMANN, Heinz Gustav
In loving memory of Mr. Heinz Dittmann, who passed away at the Temiskaming Hospital on Sunday, July 3, 2016 at the age of 89. Mr. Dittmann was born in Michelsdorf, Germany on August 19, 1926 to Reinhold and Luise Dittmann. He married his sweetheart Gerda Grummer in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany on March 27, 1948. Heinz was trained in Germany as a master cabinet maker. He was a founder of Three H Furniture Systems, a Lions member and a supporter of the Tri-Town Ski and Snowboard Village. Heinz loved skiing from an early age into his 80's. He enjoyed mushroom picking, especially with his grandchildren, cooking and barbecuing, his specialty being Salt Rock Roast Beef.He also enjoyed building model airplanes, canoeing, camping, hiking and the outdoors. He will be missed by his beloved wife Gerda, his children Karl-Heinz (Doreen), Beate (Bill Brookfield), Bärbel (Brian Conlin), Roy (Erica), Christine (Bernie Buttivant), 12 grandchildren Tiffany, Katherine, Andrea, Michael, Jennifer, Mark, Teri Ann, Erin, Natasha, Kristopher, Nigel and Darion and 10 great grandchildren Zachary, Nikolaus, Karsten, Miila, Ben, Tiah, Reid, Georgia, Gregory, and Anna, ,his sister Ruth Jendryschik in Germany as well as other family and friends in Germany. The family will receive friends on Friday from 7 pm until 9 pm at the Perrin Funeral Chapel. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 11 am from the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Tri-Town Ski and Snowboard Village will be gratefully acknowledged.
