Harry Conrad Hansen,

HARRY CONRAD HANSEN,

2021

HANSEN, Harry (1927-2015) – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Harry Conrad Hansen on Thursday, June 4th, 2015. He was born October 8th, 1927 in Kirkland Lake to Olaf and Olina Hansen, where he lived until his retirement. Harry had a passion for hunting and fishing in his earlier years and was very well known as a “jack of all trades”. During his retirement he took on a whole new love for gardening and perfected it. He loved his life at the lake and has left his mark as far as the eye can see. Harry will be lovingly remembered by his wife Irja (née Vainio) Hansen; daughters Karen (Larry) Hansen Larocque of Kirkland Lake, Sharon Hansen of Schreiber and Judy Hansen of Armstrong, BC; grandchildren Josh (Laura) Larocque, Clint (Steph) Larocque, Zach (Victoria) Smith and Molly (Dave) Smith; great-grandchildren Jeremie Larocque, Eric Larocque and Nolan Larocque as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Harry was predeceased by his mother Olina Lind, father Olaf Hansen, Step-Father Harold Lind and sisters Anne Hadbavny & Lil Pilon. In keeping with Harry’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Donations may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 87 (1 Summerhayes Ave, Kirkland Lake, ON P2N 3H7).Offer Condolence for the family of Harry Conrad Hansen

Condolences go out to the family for the loss of a fine man

Andy Attwater, March 1, 2021

Blaine and I join together in offering our deepest condolences to the family during this difficult time. At Heath & Sherwood drilling, Blaine had the pleasure of working with Harry and he has a great admiration for Harry’s strong work ethics and professionalism. We must mention the fond memories we have of visiting Irja and Harry at the lake. Lots of laughter, hot saunas and a few hunting and fishing tips from Harry. Love, Claudette & Blaine

I offer heartfelt condolences to Irya, Karen, Sharon Judy and all the family. Harry and Irya were very hospitable and kind to me and my daughter Christine when we came to visit in…i think it was 1997. For TWO WEEKS. No small feat. Im sure that on occasion, i was a dufus. Harry inspired me to complete at least one labourius task every day. Every day , in the morning Harry and Irya made concrete garden blocks. Two of them. Removed yesterday’s blocks from the moulds, and poured new ones. Now that I am retired, i try to do an hour of labour every day. I do connect this to Harry. Love to you all.Greg

Irja and family, we will truly miss Harry, his great story telling and the best kept secrets to a beautiful garden. His book of knowledge will be sadly missed at the lake.
