ZUBYCK, Gordon
In loving memory of Gord Zubyck who passed away suddenly as a result of an ATV accident on Thursday July 14, 2011 at the age of 64. Much loved husband and soul mate for 40 years of Colleen Zubyck. Loving father of Gord Jr. and his wife Lisa, Todd and his wife Julie, and John and his wife Shelly. Cherished grandfather of Gabrielle, Cole, Kohen, and Gordie. Gord was born in Kingston, Ontario on December 7, 1946 to John and Fern Zubyck. Gord and Colleen moved to Haileybury on 1973 and he taught physical education and geography at the Temiskaming District Secondary School. Gord was a coach of many a cross-country and track and field athletes. In 2005 after Gord retired he and Colleen moved to Long Point Lake in Lawson Township where he enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, four-wheeling and snowmobiling with his family and friends. Family and friends will be received at the Perrin Funeral Chapel 128 Whitewood Ave. New Liskeard, Ontario on Wednesday from 2 until 4 and 7 until 9 p.m. Services for the late Gord Zubyck will be held on Thursday July 21, 2011 at 11 a.m. from the Temiskaming District Secondary School Gym 90 Niven St. New Liskeard. Rev. Micol Cottrell officiating. A reception will be held following the service in the TDSS Cafeteria. Cremation to follow. If desired donations to the Temiskaming Hospital Cat Scan Fund, the Temiskaming Foundation- Gord Zubyck Memorial Scholarship Fund or the Temiskaming Hospital Community Cancer Support would be appreciated.
