In loving memory of Mrs. Gloria Armstrong (née Haddow), of Kirkland Lake, who passed away at the Kirkland and District Hospital on Friday, May 29th, 2015 at the age of 83 years. Gloria was predeceased by her parents Arthur and Marjorie (née O’Grady) Haddow, her loving husband David Armstrong, brothers Kenneth Haddow and Claire Haddow and her sister in law Doreen Haddow. She is survived by her 7 children; Robert Armstrong, Bruce Armstrong, Sandi Lachapelle (Leo Bergeron), Patricia Paananen (late Gary Marcella), Randy Armstrong, Thomas Armstrong, Lori Armstrong (André Pothier) and her “forever son” Randy Paananen, her grandchildren; Amanda Paananen, Sarah Van dekraats (Jeremy), Carrie Mallette (Curt), Mellissa Lachapelle (Justin), David Paananen (Jasmine), Jessica Lachapelle (Dustin), Brandon Scott, Lindsey Scott, Tina Tremblay (Nate) and Andrea Armstrong, her great-grandchildren; Natasha, Angelina & Katherine Van dekraats, Odessa & Christopher Mallette and Sophie Tremblay. She is also survived by her sister in law Agnes Haddow. Gloria took great pride in raising a family of 7 children, but always held a special passion for her work at Kresge’s here in Kirkland Lake. The family will receive relatives and friends at the FRENCH FAMILY FUNERAL HOME (111 Burnside Dr., Kirkland Lake, ON), for visitation on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 1:30 p.m. from the chapel of the Funeral Home.
