In loving memory of Mrs. Gladys Shortt who passed away at Northview Nursing Home, Englehart, on Monday, September 8, 2014 at the age of 91. Born in Tomstown in 1923, Glayds worked as a cook, tree planter and home maker. She liked to garden, play cards, collect cans, scrabble, berry picking, church, bird watching, writing poetry, walking and loved spending time with family and friends. Pre-deceased by her husband Alvin, son Richard, daughter Bonnie Koe (David), grandson Richard Laforge and great grandson Taylor Leveille. Also by her siblings John Elliott, Verna Seymour, Eva Elliott and Merle Elliott. She is survived by her children Sharon (John Fitchie), Leslie (Earl Stark), Alva (Tom Demarell), Carol (Wayne Faulds), Tom (Karen Gerrard), Victoria (Larry Leveille), Theresa (Willy Carson), Henry (Mary Charles), her 34 grandchildren, 53 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. The family of the late Mrs. Gladys Shortt will receive friends at the McDonald Funeral Home, Englehart, Wednesday, September 10, from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral Service will be held at Tomstown Presbyterian Church on Thursday, September 11, 2014 at 11:00 am. Pastor Stephen Wuerch officiating.
