‘Once a brother, always a brother, no matter the distance, no matter the difference, no matter the issue.’ Gary Howard Bond made his entrance into this world on January 27, 1957. The first born to a newly married couple, Garfield (Howard) & Austra Bond. Gary’s best friend through out his life was his younger brother Don (Susan) Bond, between the two of them they were usually scheming up some kind of idea/prank/project. Don was the idea kid but Gary, he was the one who made it happen. The two later had a younger sister Carla (Don) Aultman, who was sometimes on the receiving end of their creative ideas. When his youngest sister Leanne (Bruce) Peters arrived, he proudly chose her name and didn’t mind being put in charge of babysitting duty. Gary earned his trades certification in Auto Body & Collision Repair in 1978. His creative talent served him well in the following years as he worked along side his father & brother at Bond Bros. Auto Body Ltd. Always the MacGyver, he was once fixed a broken down tow truck with only a screwdriver. His talent included painting with several of his paint jobs being driven about town. And it wasn’t unusual for him to be given the intricate job of apply vehicle decals, like the trans am eagle or tiny pin-striping. He was married in 1977 to Donna Wood and together they had three children. Aimee Bond, Jamie (Joseph) Bond-Gauthier & Cory Bond. He is survived by 4 grandchildren Brantley & Emmerson Gauthier and Cory James & Harrison Bond. He is also survived by his daughter Tina Bond. Gary was a quiet & shy observer who had a smile that could light up a room. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. He enjoyed being out in nature, whether that be camping, boating, hunting or fishing. He was always the guy who brought up the rear, after a day of ice fishing or coming off the lake with the boat, he made sure that everyone was safe, sound and account for. Gary was predeceased by his daughter Aimee Dawn Bond, his younger brother Donald Bond and his parents Garfield (Howard) & Austra Bond. Also his grandparents Willard & Nettie Bond and Edgar & Otillija Straumers. Siblings don’t let each other wander in the dark alone.
