I first met Fred in 1962 when I was an old 18. We played fastball toqgether so the kid was allowed to hang out with them., Through the years we played hearts, pool bowled ant attended many a sporting event together. I also had the pleasure of knowing Jerry and John as well as Freds cousin Mel. After I got married and stopped playing ball we saw each other occasionally but sort of drifted apart. But when I retired in 2010 we struck up again at Tim Hortons reliving old memories and solving the problems of the world. I am going to miss that as I really liked Fred, he was a little on the cranky side but thats allowed. I lost my wife in March of 2011 so Fred filled in a bit with his friendship. I met Fred through my Dad Joseph Krachuk when I was young. He always said hi and “how are you doing?” that continued whenever I saw Him at Tim Hortons. Rest in peace Fred, you are sure going to be missed. Julia Doyon.
