Françoise Vaillant,

FRANçOISE VAILLANT,

2021

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother on Friday, March 5, 2010. Françoise was born on August 21, 1924 in Ville-Marie Québec to Jules Grenier and Josephine (née Gruffy). Françoise married J.P. Rod Vaillant while he was teaching at Ottawa University in 1947. She later began teaching music in the Separate School Board, and French in the Public School Board and adult education at Northern College. She also worked for Statistics Canada. Françoise will always be remembered for her beautiful voice. She sang and played at church weddings, funerals, and also served as a choir master. Painting was a favourite pastime. Françoise was predeceased by her parents, Jules and Josephine, and by her husband, Rodrigue. She will be deeply missed by her son Pasteur Vaillant, daughters Chantal St-Pierre and Hélène Vaillant Palumbo (Ken Dolmage), cherished grandsons Paul Palumbo, Julien Palumbo, Jamaël St-Pierre, Stéphane St-Pierre, Jordan St-Pierre and granddaughters Sabrina Lachapelle (Shawn) and Mélodie St-Pierre and also by four grandchildren Micheal, Elliot, Joseph and Avah. Family will welcome friends at the Monette & French Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 9, 2010 from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at Paroisse Assomption at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 10, 2010.
