It is with great heaviness of heart that the family of Feryn Marie Mitchell of Englehart announce her passing at the Englehart and District hospital on February 16, 2015. Born in Charleton on February 12th, 1929 to Hamilton and Elva Maude Huston, she had just celebrated her 86th birthday. Mrs. Mitchell spent the majority of her adult life with her husband Milton (predeceased by 2 ½ years) in Englehart and the surrounding area. They were married in Kirkland Lake on June 25, 1947 and shared 65 years together before his passing on July 5, 2012. She is also predeceased by her parents, and her siblings. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Dianne and Marcus Noel; son, Carey Mitchell; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Tracy and Scott Ashley; grandson Tyler Austen (partner Gary); granddaughter Kristin Mitchell; step grandchildren Mark Noel, David Noel, and Cheryl Proctor (partner Kirk); and great-grandchildren Mitchell, Collin, Shawn Douglas, Shayla, Hailey and Myles. Mrs. Mitchell’s central focus was always family. She loved visiting, cooking and baking for the numerous people she welcomed to her home over the years. She was a notoriously great cook and her baked beans, bread and desserts are remembered by many. When she wasn’t participating in these activities, or gardening and spending time at Shepherd Lake, she was supporting her husband and family in their endeavours. The family of the late Mrs. Feryn Mitchell will receive friends at the McDonald Funeral Home, Englehart, Saturday, February 21, from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 pm.
