I am saddened that I was unable to make the trip to be with you today. My memories include all of the important days in my life including my dear Aunt Evelyn and all of you. I so appreciate that. In the early years, when we spent Sundays together, starting at church and ending in the rotating family dinner. There was always laughter and love, those were the times that make me smile. There was a moment in my life when I came to understand that Evelyn personified the phrase, “a peace which passeth all understanding”. The calm in which she approached a situation, was inspirational to all of us. Her face glowed with the spirit of her Lord and she witnessed for him daily. She gave unmeasurable and unconditional love to all of those people she came to know. Evelyn could always find some good in a person, no matter what. If we were to use Evelyn as a measuring stick to which we compared ourselves, not many of us would quite make that measure. I am so happy for Evelyn, that she has made the long journey home, to be with her Father and all those people she has loved and lost for a time. What a glad day in heaven when Jesus brings Evelyn home to stay. What a good and faithful servant she has been. She is so deserved of this celebration and this wonderful reunion. You will be in my prayers as always and I am there with you in spirit. Love Roberta, Scott and family.
