DELAY, Estelle

In loving memory of Mrs. Estelle Delay, who passed away at the Temiskaming Lodge on Thursday, November 24, 2016 at the age of 96. Estelle will be missed by her two sons Michel of Marathon and Paul (Lois) of Calgary, her grandchildren Chantel, Michele, Nancy, Evan and Jack, 6 great grandchildren, her brother Mark Burke (Jeannine), and her nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Paul in 1985, her daughter-in-law Laurie and her brothers Kempton Burke and Desmond Burke. Estelle was born in Pembroke, Ontario to Oliver and Minnie (nee Madore)Burke but moved to Rouyn, Quebec at an early age. Estelle and her husband Paul lived in the New Liskeard area for many years where she worked at Northern Telephone, the Town of New Liskeard and Unemployment Insurance. She loved books and spent many hours reading. As per her wishes, a private family service will be held. If desired, donations to the New Liskeard Library will be gratefully acknowledged.
