To the family, My deepest sympathy for your loss. Mrs Schallenberger was a very special lady and I had the pleasure of meeting her through song. Several years ago, after a Christmas concert with my choir, she came to thank me for having included “Still, Still, Still in the program. She explained to me how special that song was to her as it brought back so many memories of her homeland and she said that she could almost see the snow falling as we sang it. Since that first encounter, we’ve sung that song many times, we’ve learned the chorus in German and she always comes to mind. She’s not always been there to hear it but this past Christmas, the choir performed at TPR and what a surprise to see her sitting and listening with a beautiful smile on her face as we sang this same song. The evening ended with her singing to me “Still, Still, Still, in German. Thank you for the memory!

To Monika, Irene, Rose, families and friends: Please accept my sincere condolences in your loss of such a wonderful person, Erika Louise. It has only been in recent years that I was blessed to meet her and I cannot remember once when she did not have a sincere heart warming smile for me. Everything comes to pass in this life, but like Easter only a few days ago, we too will be raised into Heaven and given a new body free of all ailments and human imperfection. Erika surely deserves this. Please hang onto your memories and Love that you gave to and received from Erika, and allow God to give you peace and comfort at this difficult time. For Erika, Eternal Rest grant unto her Oh Lord and may Your Perpetual Light shine upon her. God bless.

Rose, Irene & Monika & families, So very sorry to hear of Erika’s passing. She was one of the kindest ladies I have ever known and always eager to help others in any way she could. One of my fondest memories of her is when she used to sing Silent Night in German at our Ladies Mission Circle in the Baptist Church. She did this every Christmas Season and brought tears to many of our eyes. Erika loved our Lord Jesus with all her heart and was a true example of what a Christian should be and how to live a Christian life.
