Emile Godmaire of New Liskeard died July 10, 2010, at the Temiskaming Hospital. He was born in Haileybury on May 21, 1927, to Wilfred Sr. and Clotilde (Brazeau). Mr. Godmaire was well known for his many years of service as a bus driver and farmer. He was an avid fisherman, a past member of the Knights of Columbus and he enjoyed a good game of euchre with his family. He was a good-natured man who was loved by many. He was also a member of Eglise Sacré Coeur. Mr. Godmaire is survived by his children Alice (Danny Birtch) (Colin Brown), Emilie (Maurice Mercier), Rita (Hector Beaudry), Lea (Eddy Willard), Bob (Fran) Godmaire, John (Suzanne) Godmaire, Catherine (Claude Robitaille), Lilliane (Luc Denis) and Don Godmaire; 22 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his daughter Geatanne (David Spencer) and wives Cécile (Forcier) and Aurore (Denommé). The funeral was arranged by Perrin Funeral Chapel in New Liskeard with the service conducted at Eglise Sacré Coeur by Father Richard Ngoy on July 14.
