HAMEL, Emelda

Emelda Meunier Hamel died after a six year stay at the Elizabeth Centre Nursing Home in Val Caron, with Alzheimer's, on October 12, 2010. She was 76. Mrs. Hamel was born in Haileybury on December 9, 1933. She is survived by her husband Jean-Guy Hamel; and Jean-Paul Crispin, father of children Roger (Rita Richer) of Espanola, Lise (Pascal Trudel) of Sudbury, Diane (Henri Laforest) of New Liskeard, Pauline (Raymond Jacques) of Levack, Claudette (Darin Theriault) Sudbury, Michel (Lise Gravelle) Hamilton, Ghislain (Denise Hawkins) of Sudbury and Gérald (Brigitte Trudel) of Garson; 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brothers Tony, Laurier and Gérard Meunier; sister Bertha Jacques; son Luc Crispin and grandson Pascal Laforest. The funeral was arranged by Perrin Funeral Chapel in New Liskeard with the service conducted by Fathers Ngoy and Lafond. Donations to the Alzheimer's Society would be appreciated by the family.
