FIELD, Elmer James

In loving memory of Mr. Elmer James Field who passed away peacefully, with family by his side, at Englehart & District Hospital, on Friday, November 21, 2014 at the age of 88. Born on October 10, 1926 in Armstrong Twp. to Ivan and Lillian Field. Elmer was a quiet and gentle man who was known for his honesty and willingness to help others. He loved his family and his farm. he was a big man with an even bigger heart. Pre-deceased by siblings Marjorie, Gordon and Clarence.. Loving husband of Eva (Black) for 57 years. Caring father of Linda (Rod Plaunt), Brian (Jane), Brent (Lorri), Cathy (Rick Wilson), and Cindy (Dan Elwes). Dear Poppa of Cody (Alexandra), Kendra (Scotty), Brad, Beth, Carolyn, Erica, Anthony, Connor, Kali, Josh, Mackenzie, Jacob, Grace, and Anna. Also survived by siblings Eva, Doris, Ruth, Esther and Lois. The family of the late Mr. Elmer Field will receive friends at the McDonald Funeral Home, Englehart, Sunday, November 23, from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 pm. Funeral Service will be held at Englehart Gospel Hall on Monday, November 24, at 11:00 am. Mr. Larry Pratt officiating. Interment at the Englehart cemetery.
