Dear Andrea It is with deep sadness I learned of your mother’s passing. Not only did she have a love for teaching, she had a sincere passion for students. I enjoyed working with her when she was on the Kirkland Lake Board of Education. I would like to express my condolence to Eileen Miko’s family. I had the fortunate opportunity to interact with Eileen and her tag team teaching friend and colleague – Joanna MacNeil – at Northern College. Eileen and Joanna brought dedication, enthusiasm and professionalism to the Kirkland Lake Nursing Program and did indeed, collectively, increase the Nursing School’s provincial reputation both in nursing practice and in nursing academics.

My sincere sympathy Andrea in the loss of your mom. She will always be your angel.

So sorry to hear about Mrs Miko. I would sit outside the dialysis room waiting for my son and have numerous chats with her while she was waiting go in. She was a character. It saddens me hear about her passing. Now she and my son are meeting again in Heaven. Another angel to watch over us. My heartfelt sympathy to you Andrea. She spoke very highly of you.
