PARRINGTON, Edward

1932 - 2025

With broken hearts, the family announces the passing of Edward Parrington on February 19, 2025 at the age of 92 years. As the patriarch of the family and keeper of holiday meals, Ed always had a place at his table for loved ones, accompanied with conversation, teasing as well as his well known "lazy house wife" cabbage rolls and buttertarts. Known for his silly and kind personalityEd always enjoyed a good cup of coffee and a Skip-Bo rival. On sunny days he could often be found driving one of his beloved vintage cars or gardening.

Born to Stanley and Edna May Parrington on Oct 20, 1932, Ed lived a long life filled will love, laughter, frugality and hard work. He married the love of his life Alma, and later moved North where they built the home they raised their children in and hosted too many family gatherings to count. He loved to travel and go camping in his trailer. He was a hard worker and always stayed active, but his most precious time was spent withis family.

Ed was predeceased by his wife of 56 years, Alma and their son DavidDespite all his losses, he continued on making memories we will cherish indefinitely.

Ed took great pride in his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildrenLeft to mourn this profound loss are his son Gary (CatherineParrington, daughters Brenda (Rick) Whiteway, Karen (Alain) Barrette, and Jane Parrington (Rob) along with grandchildren Christopher, Ryan(Trish), Crystal(Keith), Mathew(Ivy), Jennifer(Will), Lisia(Jason) and Stephanie(Rick) as well as great-grandchildren Ashley, Paige, Walker, Nolan, Alisa, Emmett, Emma, Lily, Vanessa, CarterLincoln, Avery and grand-furbabiesHe will be forever missed by his siblings Wanetta, Philip, Edna, Don, Gordon, Beatrice and many nieces and nephews. His daily coffee date and second love Joan Madigan (daughter Sandy and Pat) will also miss him dearly. Ed will undoubtedly be missed by his friend Rolly(Elise) and numerous other friends.

As per Ed's wishes, no service will be held and interment will take place during an intimate gathering at a later time.

The Parrington Family

We are so sorry to hear the news of Ed’s passing. We have such great memories of the days he worked at the Raven Ski hill. He was always so friendly, cheerful, and helpful during those wonderful days at the hill. Even later whenever we would meet in KL it was such a pleasure to enjoy him and his sense of humour! It was our good fortune to have known him ! Our sincerest condolences to the family- Brian and Gale Hamilton

Brenda & Family

Brenda, we were so sorry to hear of the passing of your Dad. We actually never met him but you spoke of him so often, it feels like we did. It was obvious how much you loved each other, and you called him "Dad" with so much pride. The amazing memories that you have shared with us will bring comfort in the darkness ahead. Take time for yourself and remember to breathe - you've been through so much already this past few months. We're here for you anytime you need us. Love you,
