Mr. Edgar Kalnins passed away at Extendicare Kirkland Lake on Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at the age of 88. Edgar was predeceased by his family in his native Latvia. He is survived by his spouse Maria; children Dan “Ed” (Marny) Kalnins and Linda (Andre) Roy; grandchildren Joey, Amy, Kim (Tom), Patrick, Nicholas & Julia and great granddaughters Gabrielle and Sierra. The family will receive relatives & friends at the Monette & French Funeral Home on Friday, June 17, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Edgar will be laid to rest in the Kirkland Lake Cemetery. Donations in Edgar’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society (61 Main St. Kirkland Lake, Ontario P2N 3E4) or the Extendicare Activities Fund (P.O. Box 3900 Kirkland Lake, Ontario P2N 3P4). I love my grandpa so much and I miss him so much. I just wish I could see him one last time. He was a great man. I didn’t want him to suffer but at the same time I didn’t want him to go. I just miss him so much. Now he is in a place where he no longer suffers and is with the loved ones he had lost. I’m so happy you no longer have to suffer with your pain. I love you so much grandpa.
