ARMSTRONG, Dorothy Marion (nee MacDonald) – With grace and dignity, the family announces the passing of their beloved wife, mother and grandmother on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at the age of 92 years at the Kirkland & District Hospital. Dorothy was predeceased by her parents Ida Marie Foran and Alexander Gordon MacDonald; her brothers Francis “Fuzzy” MacDonald, Gerard MacDonald as well as her first husband Frederick Biggs. Dorothy is lovingly remembered and survived by her husband Jack Armstrong of 48 years; children Gordon Biggs (Carol), Patti Biggs (Paul), Doug Biggs (Leslie), Don Biggs (Linda), Suzanne Pilon (Tom), Debbie Cassistat (Brian); sisters-in-law Nellie MacDonald and Cecilia Biggs; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Special thanks to the staff and residents of Extendicare for making her second home enjoyable for the last six years. Cremation has taken place at French Family Funeral Home & Crematorium and a celebration of Dorothy’s life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dorothy’s memory may be made to Extendicare Activity Fund (155 Government Road East, Kirkland Lake, ON P2N 1A9) or charity of your choice.Offer Condolence for the family of Dorothy Marion Armstrong
