DESORMEAUX, Doris
Doris May Desormeaux Tri-Town Extendicare resident Doris May Desormeaux died there July 1, 2008. She was born in Aldershot, England, on June 24, 1921 to Charles and Emily Dean. Mrs. Desormeaux was a war bride who married Alexander Joseph Desormeaux in Aldershot County, Southampton, England, on August 26, 1942. Mrs. Desormeaux, a homemaker, moved to Elk Lake from England in 1946 and then to New Liskeard in 1983 where she remained until her husband's death on September 15, 2001. She moved to Northdale Manor in December of 2001 and illness took her to Extendicare in December of 2007. Mrs. Desormeaux is survived by, and will be missed by, her sons Roger and Tony (wife Dianne), grandchildren Shawn and Crystal. She was predeceased by her husband Alex, sister Pam Godber of British Columbia in 2007. A service was held July 3 at Extendicare, attended by family and friends with Pastor Mike Fedechko officiating. Cremation has taken place with burial at the Elk Lake Roman Catholic Cemetery on July 4.
