MAGUIRE, Donald
In memory of Mr. Donald Maguire, who passed away following a short battle with cancer at Health Sciences North in Sudbury on Friday March 28, 2014 at the age of 76. Don joined the Dymond Fire Department in 1966. He was the firechief for 33 years and retired in 2003 at which time they retired his firefighter number: #1. He was a member of the New Liskeard Hospital Board, Dymond Police Board, Director of the Temiskaming Firechiefs and Firefighters Association, a member of the Cobalt Northern Ontario Firefighter Museum and the Prostate Cancer Support Group. He also served on the Emergency Management Committee for Temiskaming Shores and volunteered at the Biker's Reunion. Don also enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, spending time at the hunt camp, doing puzzles and teasing all of his grandchildren. Don will be remembered by his loving wife Marielle (nee Breault), his dear children Brian (Diane), Danny (Francoise), Todd (Donna), Darcy (Natalie), his brother Garry (Sandy), his grandchildren Mark (Dana), Raymond, Eric, David, Mathieu, Krista and Sarah and his great grandchildren Hayden and Wyatt. He was predeceased by his parents Howard and Della Maguire, and his siblings Bob Maguire, Doris McRoberts, Allan (Tub) Maguire, Gail (Thib) Fach and Rick Maguire. The family of the late Don Maguire will receive friends at the Perrin Funeral Chapel on Wednesday from 2 until 4 and 7 until 9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2014 at 11 am from Our Mother of Perpetual Help Church. Fr. John Lemire officiating.
