It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the peaceful passing of Dianne D. Johnston (nee Roy) on Sunday, May 2, 2021 with her loving husband and daughters by her side.
Dianne was deeply loved by her loving husband Robert Johnston of 53 years and her loving daughters Carole Fox (Bryan) and Sylvie Johnston (John). Dianne also leaves behind four grandsons Jonathan Fox (Jen), Justin Fox (Aysha), Nick Hamilton (Shaynie Lynn) and Zachary Hamilton; four great grandsons Mavrik Fox, Deacon Fox, Adrian Fox, Colton Hamilton and her step granddaughter Aria.
Also survived by her siblings Gisele Rivest (Lucien), Annette Morais, Jean Roy (Carole), Marie Roy Caldwell (Allan), Guy Roy (Lori), brother-in-law Ron Johnston (Jeannine) and sister-in-law
Nellie Johnston, she will be remembered by many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents Philippe and Ida Roy and her in-laws Claude and Rollande Johnston, brothers-in-law Don Levesque, Norm Johnston, Mike Murray and sister-in-law Beatrice Murray.
Dianne had a beautiful soul and cherished her family especially her grandchildren. She was well organized during her 41 year career at Teck Insurance and always remembered everyone’s birthdays and anniversaries. She enjoyed motorcycling with her hubby, bingo, crafts, reading, playing cards and doing diamond art.
In keeping with Dianne’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. The family wishes to thank all of the nurses, doctors and staff for the kindness, understanding and care Dianne received during her final stay at Kirkland and District Hospital. In memory of Dianne, donations may be made to Timiskaming Hospice Palliative Care, 145 Government Road East, Kirkland Lake, ON, P2N 3P4

Aunt Diane's beautiful smile will always be remembered. She was a very special lady who never missed a birthday or anniversary. I am so sorry for your loss. Thinking of you all during this most difficult time.

So sorry to hear of Diane’s passing. She was a wonderful lady and I so enjoyed the time we worked together at Teck Insurance. I still have the Christmas stockings that she crocheted many years ago for my girls.

She was such a giving lady who never failed to send us a wonderful Christmas card every year; we will miss that this year. She always talked about her family & how much she loved & enjoyed all the laughs & sometimes challenges in her life. She had a smile that would light up a room. She will be missed by all.
