Desiree “Daisy” JenkersonIt is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother . Surrounded by loving arms of her family, Daisy passed unexpectedly at the Kirkland & District Hospital on Saturday April 9, 2016. Daisy, age 85, was born in Quebec on June 13 1930. She was predeceased by her parents and by her loving husband of 49 years, Harold Jenkerson. Survived by her loving daughters Wanda (Rheal aka My Boy ) Belanger of Kirkland Lake, Mary (Bill) Catt of Orillia, loving grandchildren: Dennis (Tina) Charbonneau of Ottawa, Natalie (Wayne) McLaughlin of Larder Lake, Richard (Stephanie) Charbonneau of Kirkland Lake, Trevor Bergeron, Crystol Bergeron and loving great grandchildren: Cory, Courtney, Ashley, Zachary, Andrew, Ethan, Paige, Logan, and Vanessa, her extended family Janet Bigelow, as well as her precious cats that she loved so much. Daisy had special days of the week for her lunch dates with Wanda, and Sundays were kept for her and Janet to tickle the ivories, Mary may have lived afar but Daisy loved chatting on the phone for hours with her. Daisy loved tickling the ivories; she taught many piano lessons back in the day of living in Kenogami. Daisy was quite the artist. She loved to draw, sketch and color, and in the last few years of her life, Daisy took up painting. Daisy loved gardening, reading Archie Comics, and spending time with her family and friends. Daisy would like her family and friends to remember all the good times we had together. Daisy’s family would like to take this time to thank the physicians, nurses and all the staff at the Kirkland and District Hospital, as well as the French Family Funeral Home. In keeping with Daisy’s wishes, cremation has taken place at the French Family Funeral Home & Crematorium. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Name of Jesus Parish.
