Denis came from a very large family whom he cared for and loved deeply. He worried incessantly about everyone else before himself, right up to his last moments. Jeanelle was his partner-in-life for the last seven years and Denis treasured their every moment together; she was the true love and light of his life. He proudly served in the armed forces from 1977-1983 which included a tour of duty in Baden, Germany. After being honourably discharge, he returned to his hometown of Englehart and joined Branch 104 Royal Canadian Legion. He gave generously of his time and commitment to numerous causes and events to the branch. Denis was a very outgoing generous soul, helping out whoever called on him in their time of need. He enjoyed fishing and outdoors with friends who were dear to him. Denis had a great love and talent for the game of darts, whether he won or lost. He loved to tinker in the garage on his numerous projects in his spare time. He was a jack of all trades and a master of a few working most of his life as a truck driver and labourer. Denis will be forever loved and missed by all who had the pleasure of being in his life. In keeping with Denis`s wishes, there will be no visitation or service at this time. A spring interment at the Englehart Cemetery will be held Friday June 26, 2015 at 11 am. Luncheon tl follow at the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 104.
