I was saddened to hear that Dan has passed away. The Trahan family has always been great neighbours and friends of the Daoust family. I have many great memories going hunting and fishing with Dan as we all piled into his van – all the kids from the neighbourhood. Our condolences to you and yours, and know that our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.

Dear tante Madelaine, Helene, Roger et Paul I know from experience how difficult dealing with loss can be, but I also know how empowering and special it feels to have support and encouragement from those in our lives. Words not only hug your heart in a time of loss, they are also powerful and healing. My sincere sympathies for your loss. He is with my father now looking down on all of us. May mon oncle Daniel rest in peace now. Prayers and thoughts are with you all during this time of sorrow. xoxo Christine, Jasen, Damen, Magen and my mom Lucille.

Madeleine, Roger, Paul, Hélène & families, Please accept our sincere condolences! Unfortuntely, we are unable to be with you at this sad time. Léo will miss his cousin and buddy. He feels very fortunate to have been able to spend some quality time with him at his mine in early October. You are all in our thoughts and prayers, Léo & Rolande Giguère

Sorry we can not make it over for the funeral. Dan was one of the best guys I ever known. He had the biggest heart a person could ever have. He will be greatly missed, but he will never be forgotten. All of you are very lucky to be able to say it was your husband, dad and grandfather. I always felt proud to be able to call him a friend and have bragged to many people about how he has was always willing to give a helping hand.

Helene (Harvey) Studholme

A year has gone by already that oncle Daniel left us…however it seems just like yesterday. My thoughts and prayers are with you Helene, Roger, Paul and tante Madelaine and family. They say the first year is the hardest…however the passing of someone we love is not something we “get over” but rather “get through”. We are taught so many things in life unfortunately we are not taught to go on without our loved ones. Lots of love and hugs to you all! xoxoxo Chris E
