In memory of Mrs. Christa Binch who passed away suddenly at her home on Thursday, October 13, 2011 at the age of 86. Mrs. Binch will be lovingly remembered by her 8 children Karl Jakob (Patsy) of Elk Lake, Eleanor (Herbert Cripps) of Kitchener, Klaus Jakob (Heather) of Barrie, Martin Jakob (Ruth) of Georgetown, Erica Ouellette (Roy Dittman) of Sudbury, Wally Binch (Jose) of Wasaga Beach, John Binch (Angie) of Huntsville and Ray Binch (Denise) of New Liskeard, 19 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husbands Erich Jakob and Henry Binch, and one grandson Ammon Jakob. Christa was one of this worlds greatest optimists, always happy and singing. She enjoyed playing her harmonica. She was an outdoor person, always taking advantage of the nice weather. She also had an adventurous streak which included climbing on the back of motorcycles with her children. Amazing gardens were her pride and joy. Christa was a very nurturing person. She was a nurse during the war and later looked after neighbors and friends with food and kindness, making friends wherever she went. The family of the late Christa Binch will receive friends at the Perrin Funeral Chapel on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. The funeral service will be held on Monday October 17, 2011 at 11am from the funeral home chapel. If desired, donations to the Temiskaming Hospital Daffodil Room will be gratefully acknowledged.
