Debbie, and family.
My sincere condolences for your loss. Carol was a lovely lady. Hugs to all.
The family of Carol Hutchison sadly announces the passing of Carol early in the morning of February 1st, 2023, in her home, following a short illness. Carol was born on August 12th, 1941, in Kirkland Lake Ontario.
She is predeceased by her loving soulmate Robert Hutchison, her mother Anna Lisa and father Erick Fredrickson. She is survived by her daughters Cynthia Hutchison (Pat Reith) and Deborah Hutchison (Luc Guimond) and her 5 amazing granddaughters, Alexis Reith (Josh Brady), Andrea Reith, Darian Guimond (Mikey Souriol), Baylee Guimond and Lanie Guimond. Her grandchildren filled her with the deepest of joy.
Carol is also survived by her brothers Eric Fredrickson, (late Joan) and Harvey Fredrickson (Jean).
Carol was a proud, independent, strong minded, caring, loving, active soul. She taught her family strength and determination to succeed. Following high school, she continued her studies in North Bay at teacher’s college. After graduating she began her teaching career in and around the Kirkland Lake area. She finished her career at Federal Public School in 1996. To this day her former students often tell us she was their favourite teacher. Carol decided when her family was young to further her education and got her University degree from Laurentian. She did this with ease as her two children never felt a lack of involvement from their mom.
She loved the cottage in the summer and family time spent skiing in the winter. Our mom loved to walk daily and was committed to doing between 5 and 10 km a day. Her grandchildren when home often joined her on her daily walks. She kept her mind sharp by playing cards, doing a daily crossword and sudoku puzzles.
Mom/Grannie, we know you have loved us for as long as we have lived, but we have loved you our whole lives.
In lieu of flowers of, donations in Carol's memory can be made to the town of Kirkland Lake for the maintenance and betterment of Kinross Pond, cheques can be made to the Town of Kirkland Lake; Attention Kinross Pond.
In keeping with Carol’s wishes, cremation has been arranged with Timiskaming Funeral Cooperative
My sincere condolences for your loss. Carol was a lovely lady. Hugs to all.
