Strangely, I always thought of Candi as one of my greatest friends as a kid. I’d spend almost every day after school at the library, and we’d chat about our lives, books we’d read, and how school was going. She would let me help her with small jobs, such as putting away books or getting crafts ready, which as an aspiring librarian was always a great thrill. She was never anything less than extremely kind and patient with me, and I was very saddened to hear of her passing. My condolences go out to her family and friends. She’ll be fondly remembered.
My sincere condolences to you Kim and your family. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Suzanne
please find some comfort in this Bible scripture, “Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice+ 29 and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, ” This is God’s promise to us. My condolences goes out to all the family and friends.
My sincere condolences to you Kim and your family. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Suzanne
Dear Kim, Jordan and Devin, Words cannot begin to express the influence that your mother and grandmother had in shaping and uplifting the lives of so many. That that influence contains to shape and positively influence lives is a wonderful legacy that she has left you. No amount of words could ever define the love that she had for each of you. That love was evident at all times. You were her ‘precious jewels’ of which she was endlessly proud. I am confident that knowing this gives you comfort and strength in this time of darkness. And I am equally confident that your love for her will see you safely through that darkness. In the coming days, may it uplift you to know that “There is a land of the living and a land of the dead, And the bridge between the two is love,” My loving thoughts and prayers are with each of you… Soulfully, Gordon Stonehouse

We are deeply saddened by the news of Candy’s passing. We spent many w/e chatting at the hockey rink. Such a kind and caring person. She will be missed.
What a loss. Just yesterday I was at the Timmins library for work, and reminisced about the after school hours I spent at the Teck Centennial, in my Central school days. Such fond memories of exploring all the books, chatting with Candi and helping her cut out pictures for the monthly library brochures. She played a big role in those days–as a highly anxious kid, the library was always a safe place and Candi, always a friend. My condolences to you, Kim and your boys. She will be missed.
It was my great pleasure and privilege to work with Candi at the Library. She was always so genuinely engaged in her work, uplifting, and inspiring. Her sphere of influence was extensive because of her kindness and her passion for working with books and children. She has left us a formidable legacy. Her example will continue to inspire.
I absolutely loved visiting the Teck Centennial Library as a kid, and it most certainly had to do with Candi and her friendly smile greeting me from behind the desk. We must have drove her nuts visiting on our lunch hours from Central School, but she let us play with her magic pen and stamp the dates in our books regardless. I am truly saddened to hear of her passing. My condolences to the family.
Thinking of you with deepest sympathy, at this very sad and difficult time. Condolences in friendship for all.
Kim and family, I am so sorry for your loss. I have such fond memories of your Mom when I worked with her at the library as a teen. I also enjoyed the chats we had whenever I saw her at the library with my children or at hockey games.
Kim: I am so sorry for your loss, your sons will also feel a great loss. I hope the coming year will be kinder to you. Love you, Jackie Deveau
