1936 - 2021

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Bettye Morrow on October 8th, 2021 at the age of 85.

 Memories of Bettye, and there are quite a few. Here are just some we are sharing with you.

She was a baker of tarts, a keeper of chickens, a distributor of eggs, a wizard of woodworking, a stitcher of quilts, a knitter of socks, a driver of tractors, a puller of weeds, a picker of raspberries, a prize winning tea biscuit maker, a runner of roads, a builder of jigsaw puzzles, a watcher of game shows, a dealer of cards, ‘Euchre anyone?’, a practical joker, a volunteer in women’s groups, a singer of songs with the Grumbling Grannies, a sister to 9, a mother to 5, a grandmother to 8, a great grandmother to 17, a friend to many, and most of all, a partner to the love of her life, Eric for 67 years. We will miss you Mom!

 A private family service will be held at a later date.

I remember visiting and smelling (even salivating) over the baking sitting on the counter. I always loved Aunt Bettye’s laugh and as I sit here I can hear her voice and it makes me smile.
